To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 338, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Patriots/Buffalo Bills game at Gillette Stadium.
Sat here for the Cincinnati Bengals home opener in 2010. Patriots won big. I had seats in row 9 which in some ways was the second row in this section. There are two portionts to section 338; rows 1-7 which sits completely separate from the other rows and are the most desirable seats in the section. And then rows 8-26 make up the 2nd portion.
Even row 8 would be excellent although I don't think there is a bad seat in Gillette Stadium. Row 8 would essentially be the front row of 338 as well. I don't think you'll find a more comfortable upper level section when it comes to seating. The seats are padded and theater style with plenty of room for your legs and elbows.
